The tale revolves around the hangman Shiva’s his wife Parvati and the son, is named Ganesh! There begins the tormenting tale on migration from the villages and its ruinous aftermath. The twist comes when the son, even if inadvertently, commits a crime. As a result, Om Puri executes the son for whom he had always dreamt of a very bright future. But, the father keeps his moral high and principles intact despite the horrible circumstances. Finally what happens forms the rest of the story?
