Kajal (Sridevi) and Raj (Anil Kapoor) are happily married with two children. Jahnvi (Urmila) is Raj's boss' niece who is a very rich American. She is attracted to Raj and decides to marry him. All hell breaks lose in the lives of Raj and Kajal when Jahnvi's intentions are conveyed to them. Jahnvi strikes a deal with Kajal. She offers Kajal Rs. 2 crores for Raj's hand in marriage. Money makes poor Kajal very greedy and she forces Raj to marry Jahnvi. Soon Raj and Jahnvi start living as man and wife while Kajal indulges in everything that money could afford. She finds herself being alienated from Raj and children. Jealousy creeps in and Kajal wants her husband and children back. Jahnvi, devoted to Raj, is not prepared to let go of Raj for anything in the world. The movie ends in a very dramatic climax which changes the trio's life forever.
