Ghulam-E Mustafa is an attempt by its makers to help its countrymen to unite and treat each other's communities with love affection and respect. Ghulam-E Mustafa(Nana Patekar) is an orphan brought up by an underworld Don(Paresh Rawal) known as Abba. Mustafa meets a girl Kavita(Raveena Tandon) a dancer by profession. But before their love can blossom into marriage, Kavita is killed by the rivals of Abba. At this point Mustafa's attitude undergoes a radical change. He leaves his profession & swears to protect a family which is threatened by a nexus of the underworld and politicians. To help the distressed family, Mustafa makes a deal with the politician and Abba. Heins the bye-election for the ruling party and decides to hand himself over to the police.However, the very existence of the underworld and the politicians is threatened if Mustafa goes behind bars. They decide to eliminate him, and Mustafa accepts the challenge.
