Preetam (Shammi Kapoor) while in search of a job gets rejected due to his young age and pre-conditions set by Sitadevi (Lalita Pawar). Desperate to get a jog he dresses up as an old professor and meets with Sitadevi who employs this old professor to teach her nieces. Neena (Kalpana) falls in love with young and handsome Preetam while Sitadevi starts liking old professor. Confused Preetam had to continue acting as an old professor till his mother is totally cured. But Sitadevi finds the truth and expels Preetam out of the house. Preetam helps Sitadevi to find Geeta. And manages to get her married. Meanwhile, Sitadevi realizes her mistakes of past and forgives Preetam.
